Green products Help Meet Sustainability Goals

We just received an email from the great folks at Justrite Manufacturing reminding us of their extensive line of recycled content EcoPolyBlend™ spill control products. And while Earth Day was last month, so many of our customers are working towards improving their facilities’ sustainability ranking with “green” products all year long.

But there was something more in this email that was news to us. There is a subsidiary of Underwriters Laboratories called “UL Environment.” This group issues independent, 3rd-party validation of “green” claims by products. This is a great thing since we have all seen manufacturers merely change the color-scheme on their packaging to justify declaring themselves a “green” product.

So, as you make your purchase decisions with your carbon footprint in mind, look for the UL Environment validation to ensure you’re getting more than just “best wishes.”
